How to apply

Send your CV to applications "at" wisegroup.co.nz

We look for exceptional people to join our team. Experience and skills are important, but so too is a synergy between your beliefs and values and ours.

Our recruitment process is purposefully designed so that we can get to know you better. We like to know who you are and what you bring.

To do this, we take our applicants through a step-by-step application process.

Application and CV
If you’d like to join WISE, the first step is to apply by sending us a copy of your CV along with any other supporting documentation, such as a cover letter.

What do we need in your CV?

Keep your CV brief but make sure it clearly states:

  • Contact details
  • Education
  • Previous work experience – roles and dates of employment, main achievements
  • Names and contact details of three referees, eg previous employers.

Telephone interview
Please note that all advertisements will show a cut-off date for applications. You may be contacted prior to this date but in most instances please do not expect to hear from us for up to 10 days afterwards. During this time we will be considering all applicants for their suitability for the role.

We may phone you during this time. Part of the reason for this call is for us to get to know you a little better by verifying your personal information and further discussing your motivations for applying. In this discussion we may also clarify your salary expectations and availability.

Interview process
If you are successful in the first stage of the application process, we will invite you to an interview.

Depending on the role this may be a staged interview process where you could meet with a number of different people including the recruiting manager and other team members.

Pre-employment checks
For some positions we may want to test your skills through work-based scenarios carried out on-line or in a controlled environment.

Reference checks
Verbal references will be taken prior to offers being extended to successful candidates.

Make sure you talk to your referees and ask their permission for us to contact them. We ask you to nominate three referees who should be previous or current employers (including managers and peers). Ask your referees for the best contact number for us to reach them on.

Background checking
Other pre-employment checks may include qualifications checks and criminal history checks.

All applicants must be legally entitled to work in New Zealand. Please refer to the New Zealand Immigration Service for more information.

We do not assist with sponsoring potential employees except in very exceptional circumstances.
