Wise Group moves into green building
April 2008
Five companies in the Wise Group have co-located into Kakariki House, a new sustainably designed and built office building in Hamilton East.
The building houses 100 employees from the Group, including the national office of Wise Management Services, and regional offices for Te Pou, Pathways, Workwise and Keys Living Choices. Waikato Primary Health also shares the building.
Wise Management Services Chief Executive, Julie Nelson, says Hamilton East was the logical choice for the organisation’s new home. “Hamilton East is a great location with so many facilities right on our doorstep like river walks and parks, a huge range of eating spots as well as access to all the important services.”
Targeting a Green Star NZ Office Design Four Star rating, the $4 million development includes 13 meeting rooms, two board rooms, a training room and a creative space. All of these have access to the latest technology like room wizards, to allow touch screen booking of rooms, touch sensitive smart boards and three video conferencing units. The building also has a café, a relaxing atrium and a small gym complete with showers and lockers to encourage employees to have healthy lifestyles.
The official opening of Kakariki House is scheduled for later this year.
